WHO WE ARE
Europlacements has been established since 1993. We specialize in the recruitment of EMT (English Mother Tongue) tutors, nannies, childcarers and maternity nurses.
WHERE WE ARE
Our offices are right behind the Duomo (main cathedral) in central Milan less than a five minute walk from both the red and yellow subway lines.
OUR STAFF
The proprietor of the company and managing director is Jacqueline de Cristofaro (Jackie) who is Italo-American. She attended a British/International school and is bilingual. She has therefore grown up and continues to live in a very bilingual environment . The idea of opening Europlacements stemmed from her role as a mom having to deal with nannies and teachers for her own family.
The recruitment/marketing manager is Samantha Van Eldik (Sam) who is Australian. She originally came to Italy in 2001 to work as a tutor and has joined Europlacements full-time from December, 2004. She has traveled extensively, is an active expat and has first hand experience and knowledge of being a foreigner in Italy.
Therefore, between the two of them you will always have an understanding and friendly ear to discuss your needs and queries.
OUR CLIENTS
The majority of our clients come from Italy (particularly Milan) . We also have families from continental Europe, England and internationally from South America and the U.S.A.
Our families are not only searching for their next ?Mary Poppins? either on a full or part-time basis but also for someone who will introduce or continue to improve their children?s level of English.
The knowledge of English as a second language is something that many of our families consider a necessity for their children in a globalised world. These families also acknowledge that English is considered the international language of communication and therefore a must for their children?s future careers.
OUR NANNIES
We actively recruit our childcarers from English Mother Tongue countries. We particularly concentrate on Australia and New Zealand where we have our own network of professional interviewers and have direct contacts with nanny/childcare colleges and universities to recruit the best possible candidates for our clients. We also advertise locally in Milan, Italy in general and throughout Europe in general .
Due to the high and continous demand for professional and competent childcarers we are constantly searching for appropriate candidates. Due to this demand the creation of the Europlacements website will assist with an ever growing market that is fuelled by our existing clientele and our current high standard of childcarers and teachers who generate our growth merely by their excellent reputation and word of mouth.
MISSION
To match the right family with the right nanny and vice-versa! Also our irrenouncible principle is to interview all candidates either personally or through a network of interviewers.
To continue our role as intermediaries in Milan for education wherever English is concerned.
